Another step towards greater sustainability
At SOGGLE, as passionate winter sports enthusiasts and mountain lovers, we are constantly striving to protect our beautiful planet and preserve it as best we can for future generations. This is not always easy. As with all products, it is often a balancing act between sustainability and cost. That’s why we are delighted to announce a new partnership and support for an initiative from our production country, Sri Lanka: the cardboard boxes on which our SOGGLE standard and vizor are mounted, as well as the hangers for our SOGGLE headbands and necktubes, are now made from 100% recycled beverage cartons.
By using 100% recycled beverage cartons that would otherwise end up in landfills, we are sending a strong signal for sustainability and responsibility together with our production team in Sri Lanka! This type of cardboard production means that on average 15 to 20 fewer trees per ton of recycled paper need to be felled. Air pollution is reduced by approximately 70%, and around 35% less water and 64% less energy are consumed. This protects natural resources and helps to reduce the ongoing destruction of our planet – a small contribution to a livable future!
This initiative is not only beneficial for the environment, but also for the people of Sri Lanka. The production of these sustainable products strengthens the local economy, creates jobs, and promotes awareness of the importance of recycling.
